Privacy
Smart Bloxx is built to be private: no registration, no tracking, no ads. Your progress stays on your iPhone unless you choose to use Game Center.
The game
Your progress, scores, settings and Hangar items are stored only on your iPhone. The app contains no analytics and no advertising and collects no personal data. Every mode works offline. Your result card is only shared when you share it yourself.
Game Center (optional)
Game Center is a service provided by Apple. If you sign in, Smart Bloxx sends your scores and achievements to Game Center, where others can see them as your Game Center settings allow. Apple's privacy policy applies there. If you don't sign in, nothing is sent.
Widget, reminder and Siri
The Daily Constellation widget is drawn on your iPhone and only shows today's constellation and a countdown. The daily reminder is off until you turn it on; it is a local notification scheduled on your iPhone, with no server involved. Siri and Shortcuts only tell the app which screen to open.
This website
This site sets no cookies and shows no advertising. Apart from the visit counter below, fonts, images and videos are served from this site itself. It is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting, which processes your IP address to deliver the pages to your browser. The App Store links lead to Apple.
Website statistics with Umami
We count visits with Umami, open-source analytics that we run ourselves at analytics.smart-byte.com on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, located in Finland. Hetzner processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR); nobody else receives it. When a page loads, your browser sends the page's address and title, the page you came from, your screen size and browser language; it also reports when you tap an App Store button (and which one), start or finish the demo game (with the result), or start, unmute or finish the trailer. From your IP address and browser type, which every request carries, our server works out your browser, operating system, device type and approximate location (country, region and city). Umami sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It does not store your IP address: to tell visits apart, it derives a pseudonymous identifier from your IP address, your browser's user agent and a salt that changes every day, so visits cannot be linked across days. We look at the results only in aggregate and build no profiles. Our interest is improving the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Analytics records are deleted after 13 months. Browsers that send Do Not Track are not counted.
